Who is Lotus Tile?

My name is Christyn “Chris” Ford, and I am the owner and lead installer of Lotus Tile, LLC. I started in the tile industry in 2008 and have been in love since then. I strive to bring my vision of exceptional customer service, custom tile work, and passion for my trade to the clients of Colorado. While I have a well rounded skill set, that includes many trades, my passion and professional focus, is tile.

In my personal life I strive to live consciously and sustainably, this carries over into my work as well. Lotus Tile strives to be as green and earth friendly as possible. From making sure to recycle waste on a job site, to trying to use as little water as possible, to trying to always use LEED certified and low to no VOC products. I also run the administrative side of my business all digital to eliminate paper waste. I want to make your home beautiful, as well as maintaining the home that we all share.

Lotus tile is a registered LLC with the state of Colorado, and carries a $2million liability insurance policy to protect you and your home.

What Makes Lotus tile different?

I do not price jobs solely on a price per square foot. I have found that this method of pricing is inaccurate, and does not factor in a multitude of variables from each project. 100sqft of wide open space flooring is completely different than 100sqft of flooring that will require complicated and time consuming cuts. I look over each detail of the project and come up with an accurate price. Many contractors will give you a quick PPSQ, and then come back with change orders after the project has begun, or rush the project and cut corners when they realize the project is more complicated than they anticipated. By thoroughly analyzing the details of the project, I am able to stick to my price for the project. The only way my price changes, is if the client changes any details of the project.

When you book dates with Lotus, those are your dates. I work one job at a time, and focus my energy on your project. I will be on site each consecutive work day until your project is completed.

When you hire Lotus Tile for your project, you will get a contractor that is quiet, neat, and respectful of your home, children, and your pets (though for their safety, I do ask that children and pets be kept out of the immediate work area). I wear headphones for my music, I protect all work areas and walkways I will be using. I try to leave your house livable when I leave each day by consolidating tools, materials and drop cloths to my work station outside.

Anyone other than myself, the owner, that will be working in your home will be someone that I have a close working relationship with, know well, and would trust in my own home. Anyone I hire will have the same attention to detail, respect for your home, and passion for this trade. I take my reputation VERY seriously and only have help that shares that vision.
